Ballooning over the Kalahari

The balloon simply travels at the speed of the wind. The pilot has only control on the elevation of the balloon via the power of the burner. He can have a slight influence on the balloon speed by choosing a different height, as the wind speed and direction might be different higher in the sky from close to the ground.
