The iceberg lake Jökulsarlón
The Jökulsárlón lagoon is the result of the retreat of the Vatnajökull glacier. Originally reaching the sea, it drifted inland only in the 20th century and left a 200 m deep lake in place of the ice. But it is regularly "feeding" the lake with ice blocks, that melt in the lake before moving to the sea through a narrow channel.
